A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012, at 2:00 PM in Martin & Castille's La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette, for Freddie Marie Leger Buttikofer, age 67 who died on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Reverend Beau Guidry, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Milton, will conduct the services.
Survivors include her four daughters, Sherre Marie Smith and her husband, Randy, Elisabeth "Liz" Buttikofer-Deville and her husband, Richard J. Sr., Vickey Lynn Buttikofer and her close friend Donna Kidder and Karyn Leigh Buttikofer and her close friend, Robin Ingram; seven grandchildren, Kristie, Feran, Ericka, Kevin II, Dyvon, Richard Jr., and Cory; seven great grandchildren, Bailee, Kylee, Mackenzee, Jayden, Maddie, Landen and Nicholas; seven sisters and four brothers.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Freddie Ray Buttikofer; her parents, Ferddie Leger and the former, Sophia Burch and one sister, Timer Leger Newman.
A native of Carlyss and a lifelong resident of Lafayette, Louisiana, Freddie Marie Leger Buttikofer was born on September 18, 1944. She enjoyed cooking, playing slots at the Casino and enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends. She has touched so many lives of others throughout her lifetime.
