Obituary
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 30, 2012 at a 2:00 PM Mass in Martin & Castille's La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette, for Sherry Stroud Broussard, age 65, who died on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Camelot of Broussard.

Reverend Aaron Melancon, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton, will conduct the funeral services.

Survivors include her son, Marc Broussard and his wife, Jenifer of Lafayette; two step grandchildren, Lauren and Courtney Duplechin of Lafayette; three brothers, Gerald Stroud and his wife, Sylvia, Michael Stroud and Kim Stroud, all of Duson; a sister-in-law, July Stroud of Brandon, Mississippi; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren Stroud, Sr. and the former, Electa Louvierre and a brother, Warren Stroud, Jr.

Born on December 16, 1946, Sherry was a native of New Iberia and a resident of Milton, Louisiana. She was a 1966 graduate of Scott High School. Prior to her retirement in 1998, Sherry was employed with South Central Bell with twenty nine years of service. She was a member of CWA (Communication Workers of America) and was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton. Sherry had a love for art and she was a very dedicated mother to her son, Marc.

Special thanks to Colette, Julie and Jill with Heart of Hospice and also sincere appreciation to her close friends, Gail and Ginger for their care in time of need.

Martin & Castille-Southside-600 E. Farrel Road, Lafayette, Louisiana was in charge of services.
