From the Sedalia Democrat: The Rev. Harvey Louis Worlledge, 91, of Independence, formerly of Otterville, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at his home.
He was born Sept. 10, 1916, in Sedalia, a son of Harvey and Roxie Ann Cross Worlledge. On Sept. 27, 1941, he was married to Evelyn Fletcher, who survives of the home.
He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God of America. He started his ministry as assistant pastor in Sedalia in 1944. He became the minister of the Pentecostal Church of God in Rocheport in 1949. He helped build a new church in Rocheport in 1950. He became pastor of Gospel Lighthouse of God in Kansas City in 1954. He was the district superintendent at Pentecostal Church of God, Central District. He later became pastor of Northland Pentecostal Church of God in Claycomo. He retired in 1992 for health reasons.
Also surviving are four sons, Harvey Worlledge, and his wife, Joni, of Excelsior Springs, Raymond Worlledge, and his wife, Judy, of Gladstone, Wesley Worlledge, and his wife, Joyce, of Lee's Summit, and Perry Worlledge, of Blue Springs; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Margaret June and Ruby Elizabeth; and a grandson, David Wynn Worlledge.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Northland Abundant Life Worship Center in Kansas City, with the Rev. Martha Ricehouse officiating. Pallbearers will be the Rev. Thomas Frisby, the Rev. Doyle Ankrom, the Rev. Ronald Munson, the Rev. Dalin Antwiler, the Rev. Daryl Burch, the Rev. Burt Johnson, the Rev. Billy G. Jennings, the Rev. Rusty Douthit and Bishop Ronald Mosier. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Sedalia. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Pilot Grove.
