Gordon L. Marshall Funeral Services will be on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at LOS OSOS VALLEY MORTUARY in San Luis Obispo for Gordon L. Marshall, age 69, of Paso Robles, who succumbed to cancer after a 15 month hard fought battle January 11, 2015. Tim Harness of Templeton, CA will officiate. A Celebration of life will be held after the Services at the Paso Robles Elks Lodge starting at 4:00 p.m. Gordon was born January 26, 1945 in Lawndale, CA to Otis and Donna Marshall. He married Linda Marshall on October 17, 1970 at a Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach, CA. Gordon moved often during his childhood but finally settled for the majority of his life in Southern California. He was a serial entrepreneur who started and ran a number of companies ranging from insurance, office furniture, and finished his career running a construction company. He semi-retired in 2008, but for all those that knew him he could never stop being involved. Gordon was a member of a number of social organizations including: Rotary, American Legion, The Elks, and the local Paso Robles model A club. Gordon's favorite hobbies included golf, sailing, restoring classic cars, gardening, traveling, story-telling and making new friends. Gordon treasured the time he could spend with family, grandchildren and friends. Survivors include his loving wife, Linda of 45 years; children, Timothy Marshall and Jennifer Marshall-Lakin; son and daughter-in-law, Tim Lakin and Denise Haunert; three grandchildren, Aidan Marshall, John Paul Haunert, Luke Haunert; brothers and sister, Jim Marshall, Rick and Sue Marshall and Joy Scherrer. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law, Joan Marshall and recently by his brother-in-law, Norman Scherrer. The family would especially like to thank the staff at Twin Cities Memorial Hospital in Templeton, CA and his many friends that showed great love and support for him through his illness."
