Trudy moved to Polk county as a youth. She was an accomplished autocad draftsman and worked at several places including Disney World. She attended the First Presbyterian Church in Frostproof and the Stuart Avenue Church of God in Bartow.
She was a former town commissioner of Hillcrest Heights and she also enjoyed fishing.
She was preceeded in death by her brother, Robert E. Carder, III.
