David Marvin Hamm

David Marvin Hamm, 72, of Grantsville, Tooele, Utah, went to be with the Lord Oct 9, 2010, at home surrounded by family members. He was born Nov 23, 1937, in Dos Palos, Merced, California, the son of the late Trinola Bessie Porter Houston and Albert Marvin Hamm. He was also preceded in death by his brother Norman Lester Hamm of Redding, California on 7 Aug 1935.

He was the second oldest of 6 siblings. On Feb 11, 1984, he married Judy Lea Holbrook of W Virginia, who preceded David in death on Jul 29, 1995 in Wayne, W Virginia. He graduated from High School in Dos Palos, Merced, California, where he lived with his father Albert Hamm. He served in the U.S. Navy as an SP. He was discharged after serving 21 years for his country. He was later employed as a Security Guard, retiring in 2002. He became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Aug 13, 1996.

He is survived by his step-daughter, Veronica Brown of California; step-father Raymond Eugene Houston of Grantsville, Utah; brother, Larry Dean Houston & sister in-law Deborah Jane of Las Vegas, Nevada and their children, Nola Jean Houston Mills & husband Douglas Roy Mills, and Audrey Ann Houston Azevedo both of California, son Larry Raymond Houston of Utah, & sons Marcus William & Lucas Daniel Houston of Nevada; brother Terry Lee Houston & wife Carla Gay and children Gavin Lee and Ryan Andrew Houston all of Missouri; and sister, Kathryn Trinola Houston Johnson her husband Stanley Gene Johnson, and children Steven Doyle, Michael Gene, and Aaron Scott, Jeannette Marie Asuman, and Amie Trinola Johnson all of Utah. He is also survived by 18 great nieces and nephews. David was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. We know that he is now in the loving arms of his wife, mother, and brother, happy once again.

Private family services will be held. David Hamm requested to be cremated, and the arrangements were made by Tate Mortuary in Tooele, Utah.
