OBITUARY
Finger Lakes Times, Geneva, NY, Sat., July 11, 1987, pg. 8 -- OBITUARIES -- GENEVA--Paul E. Neely, 77, of 75 Colt St., died at his home yesterday (July 10).
There will be no prior calling hours. A private memorial service will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being made by the Bennett Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one's favorite charity.
Mr. Neely was born in Taylor, N.Y., Aug. 30, 1909, son of Arthur L. and Luanne Cooddell Neely. He lived in Geneva for many years and was employed at the American Can Co. for more than 30 years until his retirement.
He was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the Army. He received the Purple Heart for his actions in the European-African Campaign. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2670, Geneva, and a member of the American Legion Post 396, Geneva.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William (Betty Jo) Brown of Fairport, and Linda June Neely of Brae, Calif.; one brother, Marion Neely of Cortland; one sister, Mrs. Mary Vanderbilt of Colorado; four grandchildren, one greatgrandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
