LAKELAND - Mrs. Marguerite F. Mitchell, 88, passed away on Saturday May 22, 2010 in Lakeland, FL, from re-occurring pneumonia. Marguerite was born on Nov. 12, 1921 in New York State. She was a very devoted member of United Methodist Temple for over 25 years. She would help her mother clean their church as a child. Those memories led her to use her talents to serve the Lord in this way at UMT and we are very grateful. Marguerite had a difficult time of hearing - but it didn't stop her from attending her Genesis Sunday School Class and church - always with a smile. Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband Frederick Mitchell. She is survived by her daughter Jean Smith; nieces & nephews in FL. & MA.; her many friends at UMT and Mas Verde where she lived; her caregivers Denise & Dianna. A memorial service will be held at United Methodist Temple on June 3, 2010 at 11 a.m.
