The Rev. David Ericnon, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Aledo will officiate. Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery. Visitation will be after 7 this evening.
Mr. Nelson was born Aug. 31, 1886, in Richland Grove Township, a son of Lars and Ellen Parker Nelson.
He farmed and later was employed by the Illinois Department of Highways, as a U.S. Government Inspector of Vehicles and was self employed as a carpenter.
He was of Protestant faith.
Survivors included the widow (Lex Parker Nelson): two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Grace) Lutrell of Aledo and Mrs. Clayton (Marjorie) Workman of Rock Island; three grandchildren; two brothers, Wray Nelson of Preemtion and Lawrence Nelson of Ocala, Fla., and a sister, Mrs. A. T. (Lyla Mae)Leipold of Moline.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
