Aledo- Funeral services for Ernest Franklin Nelson, 82,of 208 S.E. 7th Ave., Aledo. who died at 11:45 yesterday morning in Mercer County Hospital, will be at 1:30 Tomorrow afternoon at the Reiser Funeral Chapel in Aledo.
The Rev. David Ericnon, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Aledo will officiate. Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery. Visitation will be after 7 this evening.
Mr. Nelson was born Aug. 31, 1886, in Richland Grove Township, a son of Lars and Ellen Parker Nelson.
He farmed and later was employed by the Illinois Department of Highways, as a U.S. Government Inspector of Vehicles and was self employed as a carpenter.
He was of Protestant faith.
Survivors included the widow (Lex Parker Nelson): two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Grace) Lutrell of Aledo and Mrs. Clayton (Marjorie) Workman of Rock Island; three grandchildren; two brothers, Wray Nelson of Preemtion and Lawrence Nelson of Ocala, Fla., and a sister, Mrs. A. T. (Lyla Mae)Leipold of Moline.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
