Funeral rites for Nathan E. Edwards, 44, 920 E. 21st St., who expired at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Hospital, were held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Harold E. Rozelle Funeral Home with Dr. W. H. Bransford , pastor of the First Methodist Church, in charge. Burial was made in Memorial Park.
Mr. Edwards, who was foreman of department 511 at Guide Lamp Division, came to Anderson in 1929. He was the son of Nathan and Zella Rose Hacket Edwards. He was a veteran of World War II having served for some time in Guam and was married seven years ago to the former May Padgett.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was in the process of taking third degree work in the Fellowship Lodge of the Masons. He was also a member of the Methodist Church at Marco in Green County.
Survivors are the widow; a brother, Frank Edwards, Wabash; a sister, Mrs. Leona Johnson, Noblesville, and several nieces and nephews.
