"Joseph was employed at the Union Twist Drill Company in Athol, Mass., and completed several years of college before entering military service on Feb. 2, l943. He was a World War II veteran, serving as first sergeant, 328th Infantry Regiment, earning a Bronze Star. He was discharged on Nov. 15, 1945 Due to his employment as a sales engineer, Joseph, Eleanor and Donna resided in several states over the years. Joseph's kindness, strength of character and positive personality were evident to all who knew him. He was a loving husband and exceptional father. He is survived by his daughter, Donna; wonderful friend, Richard Modzeleski; numerous nieces and nephews."
