• SULPHUR -- Services for Harold Glenn "Pete" Hollingsworth, 77, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Clagg Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Richard Chew officiating.
Born Feb. 14, 1925, in Wayne to Otis A. and Lenora Edith Davenport Hollingsworth, he died July 24, 2002, in Oklahoma City.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. He grew up in the Wayne area and attended Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City before joining the Navy.
After serving in the Navy, he was a firefighter for Tinker Air Force Base for 16 years. He was a longtime horse breeder in Norman in the late 1970s and '80s. He had lived in Sulphur since 1988.
Survivors include a daughter, Twyla Taylor, Oklahoma City; a son, Otis Glenn Hollingsworth, Moore; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Bertha; a brother, Charles, and a sister, Odessa, who was reported missing in action in 1945.
Services are under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
