Lela Mae Dayley, 82 went to be with her Lord on Friday September 3, 2010 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Denver. Memorial services will be held on Friday September 10, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Jones Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Scott Mathis officiating. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
Lela was born March 26, 1928 in Lewellen to Leroy and Olive (Rittenhouse) Meissner. She and James E. Dayley were united in marriage on May 19, 1967 in Bridgeport, Nebraska.

Lela received her primary and secondary education at Lemoyne and Garden County, earning her GED. She worked as a nurses' aid, store clerk and chiropractic assistant. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many, many friends.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, James of Mitchell; daughter Sherry M Campbell (Darrel L) Orr of Fruitland, Iowa; son Merlin Campbell and daughter Shirley J Campbell (Charles A) Cannon all of Mitchell, sisters Hope Sherfey and Sharon (Larrie) Swanson all of Sterling, Colo. Her very special uncle Shirley Rittenhouse of Bridgeport. Lela was blessed with seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
