She applied for a mothers pension 2-28-1885 on her son John W. H. Stoner's death in civil war. no. 55897314. a son by her first husband. on pension card she is Mrs. Matilda S. Doty. Pension file will have detailed inf. with proof of first marriage of 3 marriages

She has a better long obituary 9-19-1904 Belvidere Paper. Born 1817. dtr. of Wm. Styles. Her mother died after she came to Belvidere. 1st. married Wm. Stoner 1837. He died. 2nd married samuel /Simon P. Doty (=1855). 3rd. Married Austin Morse 1872. Says son J. F. Stoner survives her. Sons John Stoner & Sylvester Stoner died in Civil War.
