The remains of Mrs. Mary Neipling, who died Friday afternoon at her home, No. 127 West DeZeng Street, were laid to rest temporarily Monday afternoon in Maple Grove vault. It will be buried later at Cleveland, New York, beside the body of deceased's husband, Louis Neipling.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 from St.John's Episcopal Church, of which Mrs. Neipling was a member for 46 years. Rev. W. H. Lewis conducted the services assisted by Rev. C. E. Barnes of St. Mark's Church, Newark.
Six of her grandsons, Wilbur and Harry Neipling, James Taylor, and Llewellyn, Ellvey and Laurence Harrison, were her bearers.
Mrs. Neipling was the youngest daughter, and only surviving child, of the late Rev. Ellvey D. Sise and Judith Smallwood Sise, of Williamstown and Tuckahoe, New Jersey. She was born at Tuckahoe, August 18, 1843. She was married to Louis Neipling in January 1859.
Twelve children were born to them, nine surviving to mourn her loss. They are: Mrs. Cordelia Dunmore, Arnold, PA,: Mrs. Viola Jordan, Atlantic City; Louis Neipling and Mrs. Vera Taylor, Kirkville, NY; Mrs. Joseph L. Hume, Falconer, NY: W. F. Neipling, Syracuse; J. W. Neipling, Palmyra; Mrs. Elvie Klingensmith, Parasmus, PA; and Mrs. George Harrison of Newark, NY.
Mrs. Joseph L. Hume of Falconer had been caring for her mother in the old home since Christmas, and with Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Harrison was with her when the final summons came. Mrs. Neipling wwas deeply loved by many friends and neighbors who were of great comfort and assistance to her, for which her grandchildren are very grateful.
