Mrs Dolly McFerson Brown, 93, former Star Valley resident, died Thursday of last week at the home of a daughter, Mrs Joseph A (Fannie) Clark, in Clearfield, Utah of causes incident to age.
She and her husband the late Francis A. Brown lived on a farm between Osmond and Smoot and also operated a blacksmith shop. The family left
Star Valley about 1918.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in Clearfield, and the body was brought here for burial in the Afton Cemetery,
She was born March 7, 1865, in Kaysville, Utah the daughter of Dimon R and Mary Ann Meas McFerson. She was married to Francis A. Brown July 21, 1891 in Ogden. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Her husband died about 1902.
She was an active church worker most of her life in Star Valley and Clearfield and was a practical nurse.
She is survived by two sons and three daughters; Orlow M., Frank, Mrs Vida Adams, Mrs Fannie Clark all of Clearfield, Mrs Arthur (Dorothy) Lewis, Salt Lake City, two stepsons, James F. Brown, Clearfield;and Leland S. Brown, Graybull Wyo; 31 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Most of the survivors in her immediate family came to Afton for the burial and renewed acquaintances here.
