Joyce Marie Robison, 81, passed on Friday, March 12, 2010, at the home of her daughter, Jocelyn Nield in Bennington. She was born May 15, 1928, at Georgetown, Idaho, at the home of her maternal grandparents. Her parents were Lyle Hayes and Rose Evelyn Solum. At the time of her birth her parents were separated and later divorced.
Her mother married Eugene Wilde who Joyce said "was the best father any gal could ask for." To this family came two brothers, Merlin Eugene and Russell Thomas, and one sister, Kathryn Mae.
Joyce completed twelve years of schooling at Georgetown, graduating May 3, 1946.
On September 2, 1946, she gave birth to a beautiful daughter named Jaqueline. Jacqueline passed on December 7, 1946, with pneumonia.
She worked at the Slight hardware store from September 1946 to May 1947.
On May 23, 1947, Joyce married Milton Bryant Robinson in Bennington. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple. Four children were born to Joyce and Bryant: Clayton Bryant, Lewis Eugene, Rozanna, and Jocelyn Idella. The family operated a large dairy farm in Bennington where Joyce worked in the fields as well as the home. Joyce drove school bus for eighteen years.
Joyce was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in the Primary, Sunday School, MIA and Relief Society organizations. She and Bryant were MIA dance directors and Stake missionaries. They also worked in the Logan Temple for three years.
Joyce was an excellent seamstress and wonderful cook. She used these talents to bless her family and others. She loved reading, gardening and the beauty of nature. Most of all, she loved her family.
Joyce was preceded in death by her eternal companion, Bryant, who passed on May 1, 2009; her parents, Rose and Eugene Wilde; her daughter, Jackie; sons, Lewis and Clayton; her brother, Merlin; and one great grandchild, Mariah.
