-- — Virginia Ann Ray Dales, 70, of Ray City passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born August 24, 1943, in Berrien County Georgia to the late Beige and Essie (Rogers) Ray. She was employed at the Berrien County Board of Education in the lunch room, where she loved serving the children. She had a great passion for cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Henry Dales and 3 brothers Clayton, Virgil, and Jimmy Ray.

Survivors Include: 3 Daughters and Sons-in-Laws, Marynell and Gregg Oliphant, Ray City, Ga., Linda and Mike Paluszewski, Ray City, Ga., Diane and Dave Hubbard, Ray City, Ga.; Son, Johnny Dales, Ray City, Ga.; Son and Daughter-in-Law, Dewayne and Selina Dales, Tifton, Ga.; Sister and Brother-in-Law, Betty and Gordon Summerlin, Nashville, Ga.; 2 Brothers and Sisters-in-Law, Eddie and Liz Ray, Hilliard, Fla., William and Joyce Ray, Folkston, Ga., 9 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; A number of nieces and nephews

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services in Lakeland with Rev. Danny Edwards officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Beaver Dam Cemetery in Ray City, Ga. The Family will receive friends Monday, July 14, 2014 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
