Frances Rucker, 86, of Rushville, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at Flatrock River Lodge in Rushville.
Born Dec. 26, 1914, in Rush County, she was the daughter of Delbert and Leatha (Marshall) Winkler, both deceased. On Feb. 10, 1935, she married Clyde Rucker; he preceded her in death on April 29, 1971.
She had lived her entire life in the Arlington area. She was a 1933 graduate of Arlington High School. She worked several years for Judge Bill Marshall. She had also been employed at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Christian Chevrolet, The Original Tractor Cab Co., and the Arlington National Bank. She was a member of the Arlington Christian Church.
Survivors include one son, Ronald Rucker of Frankfort, Ind.; one daughter, Bonnie Parks of Clearwater, Fla.; two sisters, Doris Northam of Portland, Ind., and Linda James of the Carolinas; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville, with Bob Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington East Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
