Sudden Death Came to Mrs. Felix Cote of Chebanse Illinois

Chebanse was started this morning by a telephonic communication from L'Erable that Mrs. Felix Cote of this place, wife of one of the well-known residents, had dropped dead from heart trouble near the home of her brother, Louis Trudeau, near L'Erable.

The word came to the husband who immediately started for the scene of the sudden death and the doctor of Iroquois county was called.

Mrs. Cote left home the first of the week to visit with friends named Regnier, near Clifton and from there went to the home of her brother where her death occurred. When she left home she was apparently in the very best of health. She was about fifty years of age and was the second wife of Mr. Cote. She was highly esteemed in and about Chebanse and her death has caused a wave of sadness to sweep over the village. Most of her relatives reside in and about St. Anne.

Chebanse Woman Death at L'Erable

Mrs. Felix Cote of Chebanse dropped dead at L'Erable yesterday while on her way to the Landry funeral hall in the Catholic Church.

In company with her mother, Mrs. Louie Trudeau, whom she was visiting and her sister, Miss Josephine Trudeau of Kankakee, she left the house at 8:30 to walk to the church.

When she arrived near the church she was stricken and fell to the walk unconscious. Death ensued before relief could be summoned.

Mrs. Cote came to L'Erable but a few days before and apparently in her usual state of health. Her sudden taking away is a severe blow to her family and friends.
