Mrs. Rowena "Rosie" Brown passed away on January 11, 2014 at the age of 81. Rosie is preceded in death by her parents Irving and Agnes Addington and her husband of 45 years, Wesley 'Jack" Brown. She is survived by her daughters, Terri Ford and husband Hank, Lisa Shepherd and husband Ron and Laurie Dalrymple and husband Todd and her son Darrell Watson, as well as her grandchildren, Kim, Wesley, Taylor and Andrew and great grandchildren Reagan, Rachel, Caleb, Debanie, and Madison. She is also survived by her sisters Cynthia Hackwith, Clara Compton and Jerrye Clancy.

Rosie lived in Shreveport with her companion Donny Glasgow and was a charter member of the LeFemme Cabane 137 where she held the high office of President for several terms. She was also a member, for 34 years, of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 388 where she held the high offices of President and Treasurer. She was one of the original employees of Jean Simpson Personnel where she worked for 33 years, retiring in 2010.

Services will be held at the Centuries Funeral Home at 8801 Mansfield Rd. Shreveport, LA 71108 on January 16, 2014. Family visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. with a memorial service following at 3:00 p.m.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of doctors and nurses at Willis Knighton South. Special thanks to the Critical Care Unit for their excellent care and compassion they showed all of us while our mother was under their care.
