Richard Wayne Crabtree Sr., age 67, of Stover, MO, passed away Monday morning, February 26, 2007 at his home. He was born March 27, 1939 in Joplin, Missouri, the son of Owen and Maudie Curry Crabtree. He was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Barnes on January 26, 1979 in Kansas City, Kansas. Richard retired as a toll collector from the Kansas Turnpike. He was also an auctioneer, and devoted member of the Lake View Baptist Church in Ivy Bend.

Survivors include his wife Mary Elizabeth Crabtree of the home; son Richard Wayne Crabtree Jr., of Lees Summit, MO; step-daughter Sheila Blevins, of Lindsborg, Kansas; mother Maudie Curry, of Joplin, MO; brother Robert Crabtree, of Kansas City, Kansas; two sisters Rayma Jean Webb, of Joplin, Missouri, Nora Dean Bramlette, of Joplin, Missouri, four grandchildren, and many nieces nephews in Joplin, Missouri.

A celebration of life memorial service will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Lake View Baptist Church in Ivy Bend with Pastor Tony Shaw officiating. Condolences may be sent to www.kidwellgarber.com. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Lake View Baptist Church.
