Maximillian "Max" Tidmore Jr.(1947 - 2011)
Born March 7, 1947, in Trafford, Ala., Maximillian Tidmore Jr., who was a longtime resident of Okaloosa County, Fla., passed away on Oct. 24, 2011, at the age of 64.
He is survived by his wife, Maria (affectionately known as "Suz"); his two daughters, Cristin Faircloth (Bret) of Mobile, Ala., and Tiffany Ala (Art) from Montgomery, Ala.; and two granddaughters, Amber Faircloth and Isabella (Bella) Ala. He is also survived by his oldest brother, James (Verlon) Tidmore, and his sister-in-law, Etta, from Granbury, Texas; and his older brother, Wayne Tidmore, and his sister-in-law, Juanita from Trafford, Ala.; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maximillian Sr. and Era B. Tidmore.
Max served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He served as vice president at Copy Products Co., where he was employed for 23 years. He was a member of the Fort Walton Beach Rotary Club and served on their board for many years. He was a past president of the club and a Paul Harris Fellow.
His family and friends were a very important part of his life. He was a passionate member of the Sunset Corvette Club, traveling around the country to shows, where he won numerous trophies and awards for his '96 red Corvette coupe. Often he played the devil's advocate in political discussions, and let our local paper know his persuasion through many editorial publications. But perhaps he was best known for his great love of Alabama football!
