Virginia L. Adamson, 92, a longtime Rushville resident, passed away at her home in Rushville on Thursday, November 17, 2011.

Virginia was born October 31, 1919 in Brazil, IN to Bernard and Pauline (Thornberry) Thurber, both deceased. She was a 1938 graduate of Albuquerque High School in New Mexico. She ran Adamson Tax Service in Rushville, beginning in 1973.

She married Eugene O. Adamson on June 17, 1943 and he preceded her in death on December 29, 1969.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara & husband Jim Means of Rushville, B.J. Hittle of Greenfield, sister, Connie Gonzales of California, grandsons, Brian & wife Laura Means of Selma, Brad & wife Michelle Means of Rushville, Shawn Hittle of Greenfield and great grandchildren, Wyatt, Benjamin and Brooke Means.

In addition to her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by a brother, Bernard P. Thurber.

There will be no public service.
