Daugher of Gesche Schroeder and Herman Postel (Father was a caretaker over Kaiser's land in Germany), wife of George Weber, mother of George Frank, Rose Margret, Katharina (Kate), George Washington, Herbert Bismark, George E., Gustavus August, Carl Heinrich(Jake), and Georgia Elizabeth (my grandmother). Her mother, Gesche, came to America aboard ship Baltic, from Bremen and Southampton to New York, arrived October 2, 1867 accompanied by Marie Postel, age 42. Source: Germans to America, Vol 20, page 104. Family tradition says that her passage and that of her daughter, Katherina, were paid by George Weber. There is no listing for Katherina with that of her mother.
