Benjamin Holst, 82, former Frontenac and Belvidere township resident, died at 2pm Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert Franz of St. Charles, following a short illness.
Mr. Holst was born in Belvidere township on November 9, 1860 and had lived there until 12 years ago when he moved to Frontenac. For the past five months he had been making his home with his daughter. He was married to Lena Fritz in 1886. She died in January, 1942.
Surviving are three sons, Ezra of Lake City, and Edgar and Enyart of Spokane, Wash., and his daughter, Mrs. Franz.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Friday at the Edstrom Funeral home, Vilas Huischeere of Minneapolis officiating, and burial in the Belvidere cemetery. Friends may call at Edstroms from 10am to the hour of the services Friday.
