Michael E. Burns “Fuzzy”, 66, born June 10, 1948, of Liberty Missouri (originally from Bethany Missouri), passed away February 25, 2015 in his home surrounded by his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother Lucy Cogdill, stepfather Lawrence Cogdill, and father Marvin Burns.

Survivors include his wife Evelyn Burns, brother Mitchell Burns, three children Becky and Darwin James, Michael and Amy Burns, Sarah Schubert and her significant other Michael Krueger, and six grandchildren.

Per Fuzzy’s request there will be no funeral services, a celebration of life will be held March 14, 2015 at 1:00pm at the Elks Lodge #1001 in Excelsior Springs. The family will provide a hog and guests are to bring a side dish or dessert. Please bring pictures and stories to share.

Thank you to Laffette Regional Health Center for all the excellent care that was provided. A big thank you to the Lexington and Liberty EMS for bringing Fuzzy home to be with all of his family for his final hours.
