ROGERS, RITA KAY Sept. 6, 1935 to May 18, 2011 Loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Rita Rogers was born to Sylvester Kindlespire and Mildred Lawler Kindlespire in Spencer, Iowa. Rita attended the University of Iowa, and, on June 30, 1956, married her high school sweetheart, Gary Rogers, now her husband of 55 years. She worked at Kjos Music Company for 23 years, retiring in 2000. She passed into glory at noon with the sun shining into her room after a morning rain. Rita is survived by her three sons, Kyle, Kirk, and Kelly, six grandchildren, and numerous relatives and friends. A Vigil (5:00-7:00 p.m.) and Rosary will be held at Erikson-Anderson Chapel, 8390 Allison Avenue, La Mesa, CA (619) 466-3297 at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26th. A Memorial service celebrating Rita's life will be held at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 9310 Dalehurst Road, Santee 92071 on Friday, May 27th, at 4:00 p.m. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the YMCA at 8881 Dallas Street, La Mesa, CA 91942 or to the Susan G.
