This is my tribute to a friend.
Dr. Bramlage & his wife, Lynda, both 53, were victims of a double homicide. They died from gunshot wounds. Their deaths went unnoticed for 4 days, as it was the beginning of deer season. When Dr. Bramlage failed to show up at his practice Tuesday morning in Taylor Mill, Kentucky, the Kentucky State Police performed a courtesy check and discovered the bodies in their unlocked home.
The bodies of Terrence "Terry" Bramlage and his wife were found Nov. 13, 2007, inside their rural Grant County home near Williamstown, KY. Mr. Bramlage was a dentist and member of the American Dental Association. He was well liked by the community & his patients.
'Dr. Terry' was much more than just a dentist, he was a friend. He always had a smile for everyone and always inquired about your family. He & I always discussed our sons, who were close in age. The couple were members of Saint William Church in Williamstown. "They were very giving, outgoing people," said Carol Rector, with St. William Catholic Church. "They were helping out whenever they could, at the church or fish fry. They were always talking to everyone," said Stephanie Klaphake, a neighbor. "Always had a smile. I don't think I've ever seen them without one." Those who knew them say they will be missed.
Survivors include a daughter, Emily Bramlage; sons, Steve, Joe and Russ Bramlage; Mr. Bramlage's sisters, Jean Becker, Nancy Gosney and Lynne Stegman; and his brother, Ed Bramlage.
***~ UPDATE ~*** / Oct 22 08: Russell Bramlage, 23, the couple's youngest son, pled guilty in the death of his parents. In a plea agreement, Russell was sentenced to Life in Prison with the possibility of parole after 20 years. The prosecution said drugs & alcohol were not a factor. He was charged with two counts of murder, forgery, tampering with physical evidence and theft.
