Funeral Services for Shannon Simmons, 20, Douglassville were at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 21 at the First Baptist Church of Douglassville with Rev. Dann Mayton officiating. Interment followed in the Douglassville Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home of Linden.
Simmons was born in Abilene. He died in New Boston.
Survivors include his mother and father, Betty and Wallace Simmons of Douglassville; three sisters, Dana Simmons Jackson of Douglassville, Dawn Mitchell of Plain Dealing, La,, and Denise Hatton of Seattle, Washington; his grandmother, Juanita Kirkland of Douglassville and Maudie Foreman of Linden; and uncle, Franklin Simmons of Daventry, England; an aunt, Gloria Beare of Linden and a number of nieces and nephews.
