Edwin L. Sherrick, former resident of Connellsville, died at 2:30 o'clock this morning at his home in Wilkinsburg. He was born January 23, 1879, in the old Sherrick homestead at Pennsville, a son of the late Abraham and Mary Dillinger Sherrick. One of a family of 11 childre, he is the last surviving member. Mr. Sherrick, who had resided at Wilkinsburg since 1911, was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wilkinsburg, and was employed by Allegheny county serving as a jury commissioner. He was married in 1903 to Miss Ruth Phillips. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Edwin L. Sherrick, Jr., at home and Lieutenant J. Phillips Sherrick, who is overseas and two grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Turner Funeral Home, 729 Wallace avenue, Wilkinsburg. Burial will be made in Alverton Cemetery.
