Diann “Renee” Johnson died Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, in Tulsa, at the age of 44. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, at Bethel Baptist Church in Owasso. Burial followed at Graceland Cemetery in Owasso.
She was born Feb. 11, 1970, in Tulsa, to William and Dortha Hale.
Renee attended Owasso Public Schools and was active in cheerleading, soccer, band and vocal.
She graduated from Owasso High School in 1988.
Renee married Aug. 25, 1990, in Owasso, to James “Dubby” Johnson.
In the years to follow, she attended Platt School of Nursing where she received her LPN licence in 1998.
Renee enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, watching old classic movies, listening to music, especially George Strait, and coaching her daughter’s cheerleading squad.
She loved nature and the outdoors and was also a NASCAR fan.
Survivors include: her husband, Dubby Johnson of the home; daughters, Secily Johnson and fiance Tyler Rhine, and Brittani Johnson and fiance Chris Diaz; grandchildren, Winter Diaz, and Stryker and Creedance Rhine; brothers, William Hale Jr. and fiance Suzanne, and Russell Hale and wife Becky; parent-in-laws, John and Mary Johnson; sibling-in-laws, Janey and Allen Harp, John Johnson Jr., Victor and Tonja Johnson, Donald and Jeannie Johnson, Mark and Angela Johnson and Sylvia and Ron Crowell; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and Lucy-Lou.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Green Hill Funeral Home in Owasso.
