One of Bayville's old time residents. He had been helping the family pack the car for a day's outing when he felt a pain in his side and died of a paralytic stroke a half hour later. He was born in Woodbury amd moved to Bayville at the age of 32. He was one of the most prominent persons in the development of that village as a summer resort on the north shore. He served as board member of the Bayville School Board for 18 years.
