Teresa L. "Teri" Johnson, 42, of La Grande, died Nov. 22 at her residence after an extended illness. A memorial gathering will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Union County Senior Center, 1504 N. Albany St., La Grande. Attendees are asked to bring a dish for a potluck supper following a time for sharing stories. Loveland Funeral Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Teri was born June 3, 1967, to Duane and Nita (Masterson) Witty in La Grande. Teri lived in La Grande most of her life. She liked camping trips to the mountains. She was a rock hound and loved to gather and polish them. She had many interests in her life — horses, woodworking, movies and reading. She was a very social person who loved working as a bartender, serving drinks and food, and talking and listening by the hour.
Teri is survived by her daughters, Alyssa and Kelsey Johnson of La Grande; sisters, Camy and her husband, Keith Bebb, of Sherwood, Christy Le Fever of La Grande and Nona Rudolph of Portland; brothers, Sam Witty of La Grande and Steve and his wife, Tracy Witty, of Cove; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
