Donald Aschenbrenner of Denver died October 21, 2007 at Collier Hospice at Lutheran Medical Center, Wheat Ridge. He was 71.

He was born May 31, 1936 in Longmont to Daniel and Selma (Aronson) Aschenbrenner.
Don grew up in Longmont and graduated from Longmont High School in 1954. He was baptized and confirmed at First Evangelical Lutheran Church.

He married Catherine Burback on March 17, 1957 also at First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Following their marriage they moved to Denver and have resided there since.
Don was a truck driver working in the construction industry; his last employment was with Western Paving, retiring on December 15, 1998.

Don was a member of the Eagles Lodge. He enjoyed fishing and camping.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Robert and Rodney Aschenbrenner.

Don is survived by his wife Kate of Denver, daughter Danna Ackerman-White and husband Perry White of Lake Worth, Florida, two brothers Daniel Ashenbrenner and wife Pat of Frederick and Edward Aschenbrenner and wife Markey of Longmont, one sister Eileen Smith and husband Frank of Longmont and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 10:30am Thursday, Oct. 25 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rev. Paul Judson officiating. Cremation at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Collier Hospice may be sent in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
