Fish Creek Items - Mrs. Hannah Shumate
Mrs. Hannah Shumate, a former resident of this community, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed Kelley, Pleasant Hill, Wednesday, Oct. 27, aged 93 years.
She is survived by five sons and three daughters, a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and two great great grand children. Also a large number of friends and other relatives. The funeral took place at Fish Creek Friday conducted by Rev. Clark of Gilliam. Burial in Fish Creek cemetery.

Her children were: John Preston Shumate, George William Shumate Jr., Hannah Shumate Gaume, Mary Elizabeth Shumate Kelley, Samuel Dale Shumate, James Oscar Shumate, David Lillard Shumate, and Sarah Martha Shumate House.
