1930 Eveleth City, St. Louis County, Minnesota Federal Census,
I had previously missed locating Blanche Leone in the 1930 Census because she is listed as, 'Brone B. Furtney. The enumerator had started to write Blanche but Leone corrected him as she preferred Leone - consequently due to erasures the first name was not clearly deciphered.
Furtney, Leone B. , roomer, female, white age 25, single, is not attending school, able to read and write, born in Minnesota, father and mother born in Minnesota, occupation: Librarian and is working.
Note: In August 1930 Blanche returned from a trip to Europe, arriving in Quebec, Canada on Aug 17, 1930 from Southampton England aboard the SS Ascania. On Aug 18, 1930 she arrived in Malone New York; per Border Crossings: From Canada to U.S., 1895-1956; ancestry.com
