Rebecca was the fourth child of her parents, DeWalt and Margaret Frederick Ankeny. She married George Koch on April 21, 1774 in Franklin County, PA and they had twelve children: Anna Mary, Rebecca, Adam, Catherine, John, George, Elizabeth, Nancy, Martha, Margaret, Jacob B. and Samuel.
