MRS. McGOVERN OF ROXTON DIES

Funeral Services to Be Held Sunday At Baptist Church There

ROXTON - The death of Mrs. Mattie A. McGovern, 76, occurred Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Jones.

The funeral rites will be held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Baptist church here conducted by the pastor, the Rev. F. D. Coppin and burial will be at the Arkansas cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bo Springer, Clyde and Ray Spann, Willie, Floyd and Roscoe Jones.

She is survived by six daughters and two sons, Mrs. Jones of Roxton, Mmes. Ida Jackson and C. S. Kadane of Dallas, Mrs. Eugene Helms of Ft. Biard, N. M., Mrs. Josie Center of Ft. Smith, Ark., Mrs. Eula Haralson of Dubach, La., Ab Spann of Paris and George Spann of Roxton. She leaves also 28 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Baptist church in Paris and of the Dallas chapter of the Rebekah lodge, having formerly lived in Dallas.
