Norwood Paper, 1936 Mr and Mrs Geo Castle Forty-Nine Years Wed Chipman--Monday, January 27, Mr and Mrs George W. Castle celebrated the 49th anniversary of their wedding day. Mr Castle a retired farmer was born on the Castle homestead in the town of Waddington 69 years ago. He is a brother of Roy Castle of Ogdenburg and Mrs James Stowell of Omaha, Neb. Mrs Castle, formerly Miss Viola Jane Cole, was born at Coles Creek, town of Louisville, 68 years ago. They have four children, 12 grandchildrenNatalis, June and Joan Castle at the old home, George Chesseman of Ellenburg Depot, N.Y., Viola, Margaret and John Mitchell of Saranac, N.Y., Mrs Darrell Wagner, Ralph, Nona and Anna Dunn of Waddington. Four great grandchildren, Wilma and Edward Wagner and Barbara and Frances Dunn. Mr and Mrs Castle are devoted members of St. Paul's Espicopal church at Waddington and members of the Masonic order and of the Order of the Eastern Star. The good wishes and congratulations of hosts of friends were extended to the worthy couple.

Norwood Paper January 30, 1935 Castle's Celebrate 48th Wedding Anniversary Chipman, Jan.-- Mr and Mrs. George Castle celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary Sunday, January 27th. It was a very stormy winter, they recall, and Mr. Castle drove a spirited team of horses to Coles creek, east of Waddington, for his bride. They were married at the Methodist Episcopal church by Rev. Dillenbeck. Mrs Castle, Viola Jane Cole, was the only daughter of the late Mr and Mrs. Edwin Cole. They are both members of the Methodist church of Waddington. Mr Castle is a Mason and Mrs. Castle a faithful Eastern Star Member. They are noted for their hospitality and have a wide circle of friends who extend their heartiest congratulations to this esteemable couple. They were remembered with flowers from Fulton Chapter, 515, Order of the Eastern Star on Sunday. They have always lived on the Castle homestead recently building a charming bungalow near the river. There are four children, Kenneth, who works the farm, Mrs. Lena Dunn of Chipman, Mrs. Grace Cheeseman of Ellenbur, NY., and Twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren, Wilma Wagner and Babara and Frances Dunn
