Jan as she preferred to be called was the daughter of John Bradley and Lulu Prouty Donley.

Jan attended the University of Washington before starting to work for the government at the Todd Shipyards in Tacoma, WA.

She married Henry W. Kiel, II. When her husband was transferred to Letterkenny Army Depot in Franklin Co., PA, Jan packed up her famly and moved to Chambersburg, PA.

Jan was active in the Credit Union movement, being involved with the Letterkenny Credit Union, the Grove Community Credit Union and the Chambersburg Hospital Credit Union.

She was a member of the Marta Custis Chapter of OES, and a member of Naomi Chapter of the Eastern Star I Puyallup. Jan was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution for forty six years, lastly the Franklin County Chapter.

Major Henry W. Kiel, II, died on the 13th of March in 1997. A daughter, Jacalyn Bunker and brother Lloyd S. Donley also predeceased her.

Jan is survived by her daughter Jaye Kiel and son John Kiel and his wife Jacqueline. Also surving are three granddaughters; Cori Pasinetti, Anna Martinez and Rachel Dayhoff.
