Michael Jacob Heindel, born on his father's farm in Windsor Township, York County, Pa., midway what is now known as Windsor Borough and Red Lion Borough on August 4, 1816, and died July 11, 1885, aged 68 years, 11 months and 7 days, on the same farm where he resided all of life. He was married to Leah Myers who was born in North Hopewell Township, York County, Pa. (of Dunkard descent), and died October 4, 1893, aged 71 years, 3 months and 26 days. To this union was born eight children. One daughter, Mary Ellen Heindel (June 20, 1853-October 30, 1853) died as an infant. Her marker has not been found.
