Patricia Marlene (McMahan) Christian, 59, passed away at 2:54 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at Alton Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 10, 1949, in Highland, to George and Marcella (Funston) Gibson.
She married Robert Christian in April 1994 in Jerseyville. He survives.
She lived in the Edwardsville and the Alton area for most of her life. She was employed at the Shop ‘n Save grocery store in Alton for seven years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children, Shannon McMahan of Granite City, Timothy McMahan of Cottage Hills, Elizabeth Asbury of Hartford, Tami Hamlin of Edwardsville and Marck McMahan of Queens, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Rose Ambuehl of Kansas City, Mo., and Ellen Colley of Bethalto; and two brothers, George Gibson of Louisiana and Dean Gibson of Alton.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial visitation will be from 1 p.m. until services at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, with the Rev. Thomas Asbury officiating.
Memorials may be made to the American heart Association.
