William Rodney Goldman, Ph.D., was born in New York City July 21, 1947. He graduated from Harpur College in Binghamton, New York, and after completing an internship at the Institute of Living in Hartford, Connecticut, received his doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Georgia. He worked as a clinical psychologist and associate professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School from 1977 to 2005.
He was predeceased by his parents, Morris and Dorothy Rothstein Goldman. He is survived by the light of his life, his cherished daughter, Anna; brother, Steven Goldman, Ph.D.; sister, Barbara Shernoff; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Shernoff; nephew, David Shernoff of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and close friends and colleagues. Burial was at the Hebrew Cemetery at Tidewater Drive and Princess Anne Road.
