William B. Adams, 78, a retired oil and gas rig superintendent, died Wednesday, June 29, 2005, in Granbury.

Mr. Adams was born Aug. 13, 1926, in Erath County. During World War II, he served in the Navy. He worked for Rowan Drilling Co. for 36 years until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of Granbury Lions Club and had been a deacon at Lakeside Baptist Church since 1994.

He was predeceased by his parents, William J. and Iris Adams.
