Lois Ann Younquist was born in Des Moines on July 22, 1952. Her parents were Russell and Verna (Olmstead) Youngquist. She worked at Blackwell Publications in Ames.
Daniel and Lois began their marriage in Ames on May 22, 1993. They lived several years in Ames before moving to Saylor Township near Des Moines. They were very active in the work of First Evangelical Church of Ames and devoted to their church family. They enjoyed amateur radio and were part of the Storm Spotter Network. Daniel is survived by his aunt, Virginia Gause and her husband, Kenneth, of Onaga, KS; aunt, Mildred Sparesus and her husband, Edward of Chicago; and a cousin. Lois is survived by her brother, Russell Youngquist and his wife, Jackie of Windsor Heights; nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Evangelical Church, 2008 24th St. Ames, IA 50010.
