Sassy was my beloved companion. At 11:30 today, she crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. From the first time I saw her, we bonded. She was always spunky and so full of life. If you were missing a sock, you can bet the sock bandit stole it. She loved taking rides and made many trips with us to visit her sisters while they attended college at Louisiana Tech. She was so smart, she understood so many words, we had to spell them so she wouldn't know what we were saying; she eventually caught on to that, too. When she was a puppy, she stole a "Popple" from my daughter's closet, and it became her favorite toy for life. No matter what toy we gave her, she always went back to her Popple. She brought many years of joy and companionship into the lives of myself and family and although we'll miss her, she will live on in our hearts forever. She was a true gift from God, and today I gave her back. Good-by my beautiful girl.
