Rape Victim. In 1937, Patricia was one of 120 underage chorus girls tricked into attending a stag party at a convention for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer visiting salesmen. When she tried to flee, Patrica was brutally raped by one of the salesmen, David Ross. Defying the powerful studio's order for silence, she filed a landmark lawsuit which prompted M-G-M to launch the biggest cover-up in Hollywood history.
Patricia Dorothy Pauly, her legal name at the time of her death, is the subject of "Girl 27," a 2007 documentary film by David Stenn, based on his April 2003 Vanity Fair article, "It Happened One Night at MGM."
