"The man upstairs received his biggest and best catch ever today! Dave lost his battle with Cancer today. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.

David lived life large and embraced every moment. We will miss him, will miss his smile, his laugh and all those fishing stories."

David A. Pugh (Pughboy), age 47, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 26, 2015. He was born June 5, 1967 in Long Beach, CA.

He attended Kingsville School, and graduated from Lee's Summit High School in 1985. He was an Auto Body Painter by trade but Fishing was his favorite pastime. Competing in Fishing Tournaments was his passion.

David is survived by 2 sons, and their mother.

David shared a home with his girlfriend and her 2 sons.

He is also survived by his mother, his father and his wife, a sister and her husband, his 2 nephews and their wives. He was also blessed with 2 stepsisters and 2 stepbrothers, one of which preceded him in death. He also had 4 nephews and 3 nieces, 2 great nephews, and 3 great nieces.

A celebration of David's life was held on Saturday, March 28th at the Eagles Lodge on 24 Hwy. in Independence, MO. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in David's name to the American Cancer Society. Maybe one day a cure for this terrible disease will be found.
