Morris James Brown, Sr was a resident of New Brunswick, NJ and a graduate of New Brunswick High School. He retired from Delco Remy, General Motors after thirty-two years of faithful service. He was a lifetime IUE member of the mason; Past Master of Prince Hall, Newark, NJ; Secretary and part owner of the St. James Hunt Club; 33rd degree A.A.F.M. Masonic Lodge; part owner of New Jersey night club "10 Is Enough"; and the 3 Corner Social Club. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in New Jersey and Calvary Baptist Church in Burkeville, VA until his death. Morris was a "man's" man who lived life on his terms. He was a loving husband, a caring father, and a devoted friend. On January 27, 2008 Morris surrendered his life to Christ. He laughed, loved and cried up until the very end. Morris "Fought a Good Fight" with cancer and breathed his last breath peacefully in his sleep.

A Memorial Service was held Saturday, February 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the home of Morris Brown in Burkeville, VA with private interment.
